I’ve had a bit of an unhealthy love of leopard print since I was about 15. And considering that I’m now approaching my mid-twenties, that’s a bloody long time. Thinking back, I’m pretty sure I fell in love with the print when it was a dominant feature of a 2010-esque hot pink Paul’s Boutique bag. God, that makes me feel old.
The fact that leopard print has been prevalent in fashion since the 1920s speaks volumes. Unlike many other trends, it is something that hasn’t come around, been hugely popular, only to go dreadfully out of fashion and then come around again two decades later, and go swiftly out of fashion again (ahem – chokers), leopard print has remained a style staple for many.
I’ve struggled with my skin for as long as I can remember, so I was pretty ecstatic when I tried a few products from the Yes to Tomatoes range and my skin was practically transformed in a matter of days.
My oily skin, tendency to get outbreaks at a certain time every month and my gigantic pores have been an annoyance to me since puberty. I’ve tried so many different products and while some have been pretty good, others have been, well, not so good. That’s why I was so pleased when I used some of the Yes to Tomatoes products and actually saw a real difference in my skin.
I’ve always been a massive lover of skincare and beauty products, and spend way more of my income on it than I do on clothes and shoes. I’ll quite happily spend a hefty amount on some good makeup and cosmetic products, but would say no to spending the same amount on a new dress. Having always been this way, it seems a bit odd that I’ve never actually written a beauty-related blog post before.
